The Illuminated Story Book Competition
The Contest is:
- open to children of all ages
- open for submission of made-up stories with pictures
- offering publication of the winning entries AND a $20 prize!
Story Books Guidelines:
- Story Books must have a title
- may be on any subject
- may be any length
- may be for any audience
- must feature an original story and original pictures in any medium
- may be created by more than one author / artist
Winning Entries:
Our favourite Story Books will be published in e-book format, and a limited print edition, on the EMP label. 12% royalties will remain with the authors/illustrators in a standard EMP contract, with permission.
Contest Deadline:
Submissions must be received by 7pm, Monday, April 13, 2020.
Winners will be announced Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at 7pm.
How to Submit Story Books:
Take a digital picture of each page of your story book. Each picture should include only one page.
Get your parent or guardian's help and e-mail all the pictures to: info@electromagneticprint.com
Make sure your parent or guardian emails the pictures in the order in which they appear in the book, or, better yet, number them on the original artwork pages before you take their pictures.
Make sure you AND your parent or guardian can be reached at the e-mail address you use to make your submission!
Permission of a parent or guardian to post your work on the EMP website will be necessary, make sure you include that in your email.
Note: entering this competition by submitting a Story Book does NOT convey ANY RIGHTS WHATSOEVER to Electromagnetic Print. Permission of a parent or guardian will be necessary to announce and display a winning entry. Further permissions to publish with EMP are pending a standard publishing contract with a capable parent or guardian on behalf of the author and/or artist.
